Breech - Another Variation of Normal

If you are here because you are pregnant with a baby who is in the breech position or you know someone who is, I have searched for lots of encouraging breech birth articles for you to read. I didn't find any of these articles when I was 37 weeks pregnant with our breech baby but I just knew that I wanted to birth my breech baby myself. However, I have met a number of women who wanted to at least try birth their breech babies but were told that they couldn't and that they needed to book a C-Section. If you are one of those people who doesn't want to book a C-Section and want to labour and birth your breech baby, you will hopefully find the following links helpful.

Also, I have included some of my favourite breech birth videos down the bottom of the page. Enjoy!

Click on any of the links in blue to find lots of info on breech birth.

This next story is a beautiful and triumphant one! A VBAC breech birth after 2 previous C-Sections and the Mum has a bicornuate uterus too! :-)This is a picture of a bicornuate uterus in case you are unsure of what it is...
A bicornuate uterus, commonly referred to as a "heart-shaped" uterus, is where two "horns" form at the upper part of the uterus.
