VBAC (Vaginal Birth After Cesarean)
I have heard that many doctors sadly believe 'Once a Cesarean, always a Cesarean'.
There is LOTS of support out there for those of you who want to have a VBAC. Surround yourself with people who support you and make you feel comfortable with your decision. There are lots of videos, books, online articles and websites which have great VBAC information!
If you are reading this and have had a healing VBAC experience, please send me your story so I can add it to this page.
I will fill this page with all things VBAC. Enjoy!
Great, informative VBAC websites:
www.vbac.com
www.vbacfacts.com
www.canaustralia.net/ (The support from this site is AMAZING. Higly recommend it)!
This is a fantastic and informative article my dear friend Mel sent me:
Understanding the Importance of VBAC Education for the Future

I also own a great book that my dear friend Emma gave to me. It's called "Silent Knife: Cesarean Prevention and Vaginal Birth after Cesarean)".
If you are from Adelaide, South Australia you are welcome to borrow it. (Click here to contact me).

"After an unplanned c-section with our first, we planned a Vaginal Birth After a Cesarean with our 2nd. Even though I had it all planned out early on, we encountered some issues which led us to a homebirth -- which was the most amazing experience."
If you have had a VBAC yourself and want to share your birth video, please email me at: [email protected] and I will include it on this page. :-)

"The tale of a hard-fought hospital VBAC told from the father's point-of-view. Lessons here about the importance of being educated on the birth process, having a supportive labor team, and trusting the mother's own instincts during the birth process."
"My Journey to a VBAC. After wanting a natural childbirth with my first pregnancy and labor and succumbing to an unnecessary cesarean, I discovered and joined ICAN (International Cesarean Awareness Network) and began my journey to a VBAC (Vaginal Birth After Cesarean)."
"My struggle with 3 c-sections in 2 1/2 years and my victorious unmedicated VBA3C."
"My Attraction (HomeBirth After 3 c-sections) HBA3C. A story of healing ♥"
"This is the slideshow of the pregnancy and birth of my 2nd daughter and 4th child Zephyra Adia. She was born at 4:24am on June 2nd, 2011 at home in the water after two hours of hard, fast labour that began at 7cm - the entire labour was transition! This was my 2nd VBAC following an unnecessary cesarean and the death of my first son in 2005 (this is why you hear me ask, "Is she alive?"; in my daze from the intensity of that first moment I momentarily believed her to be my son). This is also my first birth since being diagnosed with ankylosing spondylitis - a painful spinal disorder that causes fusions in my spine and pelvis - and I just gotta say that waterbirth rules for disabled mamas, both for ease of mobility and pain management.
This birth was by far my most difficult (emotionally and physically), but also the most rewarding."
